Oh dear, what a life! This 38-year-old groom, Mr. Nze- kwe Chukwuemeka Barthlomew, died hours before his wedding vows to his bride on Saturday. The late Bartholomew, a vulcanizer, died in an accident on his way to Church for his wedding ceremony in Ekwuluobia area of Anambra on Saturday.
According to reports, he was being conveyed on a high capacity motorcycle around 9:30am by his Best Man, from their home to the church in Ekwuluobia where the bride was already waiting for him.
Tragedy struck when the two friends ran into a stationary Camry car along the road and the driver of the car suddenly opened the door oblivious of the motorcycle coming behind him reportedly on a high speed…
Although, his Best Man sustained minor injuries, the groom was hit hard by the door – he landed on the tarred road hitting his head against the hard surface and died on the spot.
His corpse has since been deposited at a morgue while the Best Man was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
