Senator Bukola Saraki, Other Senators Dump PDP & Join APC

The first batch of Senators dumping Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress have made the move as promised over the weekend. Eleven PDP Senators on Wednesday morning dumped the party and moved over to the APC.

A formal letter to this effect has been delivered to the Senate President, Senator David Mark and he is expected to be read it to all senators on the floor of the Senate.

Below are the names of the 11 Senators who dumped PDP for APC… 
Senator Bukola Saraki – Kwara Central
Sen. Abdulahi Adamu – Nasarawa West
Sen. Mohammed Danjuma Goje – Gombe central
Senator Magnus Ngei Abe – Rivers South-East
Senator Wilson Asinobi Ake – Rivers West
Senator Umaru Dahiru – Sokoto South
Sen. Bindawa Muhammed Jibrilla – Adamawa North
Sen. Aisha Jummai Alhassan – Taraba North
Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume – Borno South
Senator Mohammed Shaba Lafiaji – Kwara North
Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir – Sokoto East

According to the senators, this is just the first instalment as many more PDP Senators are set to join APC.

The PDP is doing all it could to beg its members and stop them from decamping to the APC but how far their pleas will go to stop the defections remain to be seen, for now the first set of eleven is gone.
